LHTO - UPDATE
After careful consideration and discussions between the associations of the Ligue de Hockey Trente Ouest (LHTO), we regret to announce that the difficult decision has been made to officially cancel the remainder of the 2020-21 season of the LTHO. The official LHTO press release can be found below and is also available at https://www.lhto.ca/.
In light of this, HRS is currently working on our options if a certain resumption of activities is permitted by Public Health in the coming weeks and on the terms of reimbursements. We will communicate all the information to you in a few weeks with the options available to you.
It goes without saying that we are as disappointed with this turn of events as you are, and we would like to thank each of you for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented times.
[ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING THE CANCELATION OF THE 2020-2021 SEASON]
In view of the various measures put in place since last October by the government of Québec authorities with the objective of reducing the impact and transmission of the Covid19 virus, said measures having had the effect of putting on hold all team sports in the majority of Québec regions, and threaten to be in force for the foreseeable future, the presidents and governors of the minor hockey associations of La Ligue 30 Ouest have decided to cancel all activities planned by the league for the 2020-2021 season.
As a consequence, in the coming days each member association of La Ligue 30 Ouest will contact all member players in order to inform them of the action to be taken arising out of the cessation of League activities.
The association members of La Ligue 30 Ouest wish to thank all administrators and coaches in each association who put forth important efforts from the beginning of this season with the objective of assuring the return to play. Thanks also to all the parents who collaborated in ensuring the observance of the safety protocols in order that the players could participate in a safe environment.
It is our hope that the situation will evolve in a positive manner so as to ensure the return to play next September.
In the meantime, please continue to respect the prevention guide-lines.
